In every Kundalini Yoga practice, we begin and end with sacred mantras — vibrations that open the space, connect us to divine wisdom, and seal our energy in truth and light.

These mantras help you tune into your inner teacher, create protection, and elevate your frequency throughout the practice.

Below, you’ll find the Opening and Closing Mantras we use in class, along with their meanings and intentions. Take a moment to read, listen, and feel their vibration before your practice. 🕊️

Opening Mantra – Adi Mantra

“ Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo” (chant 3 times)

Meaning: I bow to the Divine Creative Wisdom, I bow to the subtle divine teacher within.

Purpose: To tune in, align with inner wisdom, and connect to the lineage of teachers before starting practice.

Protection Mantra – Mangala Charn Mantra

“Ad Gurey Nameh, Jugad Gurey Nameh, Sat Gurey Nameh, Siri Guru Devay Nameh “(chant 3 times)

Meaning: I bow to the Primal Wisdom, I bow to the Wisdom throughout the ages, I bow to the True Wisdom, I bow to the Great Invisible Wisdom.

Purpose: To create a protective field and invoke guidance throughout the practice.

Closing Song & Mantra

Song: May the long time sun shine upon you, All love surround you,

And the pure light within you

Guide your way on. (repeat twice)

Then chant: Sat Nam (3 times – long Sat, short Nam)

Meaning: “Truth is my identity.”

Purpose: To seal the practice in truth and return to daily life with clarity.
