Why Do We Wear White and Cover Our Heads?

Kundalini Yoga, practitioners often wear white clothing and cover their heads for specific spiritual and energetic reasons. Wearing white is believed to expand one's aura and reflect energy, creating a protective field around the body. White symbolizes purity, clarity, and the intention to elevate consciousness. Covering the head, typically with a turban or scarf, helps to preserve and contain the energy generated during practice, particularly around the crown chakra, which is considered the energy center associated with higher consciousness. This practice also supports focus and mindfulness, minimizing distractions and fostering a deeper connection to the self and the spiritual experience.
